Cast And Crew

Sara: Main Protagonist

For the cast and crew of my music video, I decided to keep it very minimal. The only main character is my friend Sara, who plays the protagonist throughout the video. The camera follows her closely, making the video feel personal and intimate. Sara is presented as an upbear and quirky young woman, which I plan to show through her body language, movement, and facial expressions. For example, shots of her dancing freely, jumping, or reacting playfully to her surroundings help communicate her personality to the audience without using dialogue.

However, beneath this energetic exterior, the video explores an inner conflict she's been having. To reinstate, the song suggests someone who is physically present but emotionally moving on, and I want to translate this into a visual journey. Sara goes through a kind of metamorphosis, where she slowly transitions from feeling restricted and unsure to reaching acceptance and self-assurance, the main idea. This will be shown through different stages in the video, such as moments where her movement feels more tense or controlled, followed by scenes where she becomes more expressive and carefree. By the end, she fully embraces her true self, no longer holding herself back for anyone else.

Sara will not directly interact with other people in the video, as the focus is on her inner world rather than external relationships. However, I plan to include shots of strangers and the surrounding environment to make the setting feel realistic and grounded. These background figures help show that life continues around her, even though she feels emotionally separate from it.

Antonia (Me) : Director/Editor

I will be directing and editing the music video independently, which gives me full creative control over how the message of the song is represented. I plan to film using my phone, focusing on creative shot ideas such as close-ups, movement-based shots, and handheld camera work to make the video feel natural and spontaneous. I will then edit the footage myself using CapCut, where I can experiment with pacing, transitions, speed changes, and filters to match the rhythm and mood of the song. Rather than following a very clear or linear storyline, my focus will be on visual storytelling, using editing and imagery to communicate emotion and theme.
